Course Description:
This course will
start and finish at the Studio Bee Youth Community Center. The course is will be
on paved city streets and county roads. It is not closed to traffic. The
elevation is somewhat hilly. There will be water stations and traffic volunteers
on the course for your saftey. The race will begin by heading west on Walnut
Street/Degonia Rd. toward Warrick County 4-H Fairgrounds for approximately 1
mile. Then head north (left) on Roth Road for approcimately 3/4 of a mile before
turning left (east) on Tennyson Road. At almost 2.5 miles into the race the
course takes another left on Parkview Drive. Continue south until reaching
Walnut Street/Degonia Road where you will head west and run back to Studio Bee
on Flint Street.
Directions to Studio Bee:
If you are
headed east on Hwy 62, take Hwy 62 through Boonville and take the first street
to the left (Walnut St.) after Hwy 62 merges back into 2-way traffic.(Hwy 62 is
one way streets through Boonville.) Then take the next left on Flint St. Studio
Bee will be approximately one block on the left.
Awards:
A trophy will be awarded to the top male and top female runner. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded to the top 3 runners and top 3 walkers in each of the following age groups. <14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70>
All proceeds go to "Studio Bee" Community Youth
Center which is ran by GEM Ministries, Inc, a non-profit youth organization.
"Studio Bee" provides services for FREE after school tutoring for elementary
students, basketball practices for Special Olympics basketball teams,
after-school programming, and monthly youth activities. For more information and
